We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Esther Njeri Mungai on 7th November, 2024 at the KU Referral Hospital following a long illness of Parkinson’s Disease bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Zacharia Wainaina Wa-Kigathi and the late Mrs. Hannah Wacuka Wainaina.

She was wife of the late John Mungai Kung’u.

Sister of the late Richard Gitau, the late Grace Mumbi Mucheru, the late Amos Karanja, the late Mathew Mburu, Joseph Githua & Salome Mariga.

Mother of the late Hellen & David Njenga, the late Theresia Wacuka, Margaret & Samuel Githang’a, Peter & Esther Kung’u, the late Elder Lucy & John Mbigoh, Mathew & the late Patricia Wainaina and Ruth & Harrison Kirika.

She was the grandmother of many grandchildren; Aunty and friend of many.

Family & Friends are meeting daily for Vigils and funeral arrangements at her home in Kamuchege, Lari Sub-County, Kiambu County & at Ndigithu Hotel, Ruiru, everyday from 6.00p.m.

The cortege leaves KU Referral Funeral Home on Wednesday 20th November, 2024 at 7.00a.m.

for a funeral service at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Kamuchege and thereafter burial at their family farm in Kamuchege, Lari Sub-County, Kiambu County.
