ESTHER WANGUI WAIHENYA
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the resting of Esther Wangui Waihenya on 14th February, 2023, at the Nairobi Hospital.
Wife of Dr. Waihenya Chomba. Beloved mother to Miriam Njambi Ngatia, the late Ruth Muthoni and Chomba Waihenya. Mother-in-Law to David Ngatia Gachuche. Grandmother to Michael Ngatia, Mia Ngatia and Mark Ngatia of Otawa Canada.
Daughter of the late Thomas Karumba Guchuchika and the late Peris Muthoni Karumba. Sister to Gladys Wambui Muriuki and Jackson Muriuki, Penina Wambura Karumba, Anthony Wamathai Karumba, Irene Wanjiku Karumba and John Wachira Ndegwa, Richard Maina Karumba and Janet Wacuka, Joyce Wairuri Karumba and Daniel Mburu Mwangi, Jedidah Wandoho Karumba and Patrick Njeru.
Sister-in-law to Mary and David Chuma, Wachira Chomba, Anne and James Wangai, Geoffrey Wachiuri Chomba, John Chomba, Grace and Samuel Mathenge, the late Mwangi Chomba,Jeniffer and Julius Murigu. She was a dotting auntie to many.
Family and friends are meeting for prayers at All Saints Cathedral, Opposite Serena Hotel on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th February, 2023 from 4.00 pm.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on 21st February, 2023 at 8.30am.The church service will be held at St. Francis ,ACK Church, Karen at 10.30am and the burial will be held at Lang’ata Cemetery thereafter.
