It is with deep sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Mrs. Eunice Benter Akinyi Ouma on March 3, 2020, due to Pulmonary Embolism in Nairobi, Kenya.

Daughter of the late Mzee James Ogonya Olal and the late Mama Felgona Mola Ogonya, Norah Ogonya and Anna Ogonya of Pap K’Olal, Uyoma Kagwa. Daughter-in-Law of the late Mzee Daniel Obuogo and the late Mama Rusanael Auma Obuogo and Benter Akoth Obuogo of Kakiimba, Mfangano Island, Homa Bay County, as well as of the Owuor’s, the Okombo’s, the Mireri’s, the Mbeo’s, and the Okello’s of USA. Beloved wife of John Ouma-Daniel Obuogo. Devoted mother of Lorraine, Julie, Emma, and John Gordon Jr.

Doting Grandmother of Jayden Obie and Isaiah Mola. Sister of Jane, Philip, the late Emma, the late George, the late Ruth, the late Rachel, Olga, the late Amondi, Helen, Achieng, Dickson, the late Dr. Martin, Awino, Ochieng and others. Sister- in-law of Otiob and Elizabeth, Oport and Doreen, Iscar and Klaus, Solomon Odongo and the late Sylvia, Joyce, the late Julie, Faith, Martha, Julie and Dennis. Beloved Aunt of Paul, Latoya, Hanningtone, Ben, Calvin, Faith, Awuor, the late Brian, Martha, Ologi, Yvonne, Popsie, Sally, Pasaka, Serena, Perytex,Victory, Betty Mollah, Belinda, Esther, Eva, Emma, Bianca, the late Maria, James, George and others.

Eunice will be laid to rest on Friday, March 27, 2020, at her home in Kakiimba, Mfangano Island, Hama Bay County.
