Eunice Gakenia Gitahi

We humbly accept God’s will as we announce the passing on of our beloved sister Eunice Gakenia Gitahi which occurred late Tuesday evening, May 5th, 2020 after a long battle with illness.

Eunice Gakenia Gitahi “Joy Joy” was the beloved wife of Joseph Gitahi Wachira and mother of Dan Mbichire & Miriam Nyambura, Paul & Esther Wachira, Joan Wangui, and Nick Wanyeki. She was a grandmother of Wangechi, Isaac, Joe, Gakenia, Amani, Zuri & David.

Loving daughter of Esther Mbichire and the late Duncan Mbichire and step daughter of late Alice Wangechi.

Wonderful sister of late Faith & Jacob Mabwa, Samuel Wachira & Milka Wachera, Margaret Njoki & Sila, Peter & Caroline Muthiga, late Stanley Wanjau & Martha Wanjiru, Benson Mukiha, James Nieru, George & Judy Mbichire, Ann & Peter Kihoro, Bether & Nicholas Kariuki,

Step sister of Eston Munene, Joyce Mwendwa, Dr. Bernard Mwangi, Geoffrey Githinji, Margaret Wanjira, late Jeremiah Karoki and Jane Nioki.

Daughter-in-law of late Peter Wachira and Florence Wangui and sister-in-law of the late James Kanyeki, late John Keen, Mary Green of Boston and Regina Wangechi. ;

Cousin of Margaret Gakenia of California and Peter Kairo of Seattle amongst others.

Eunice was a joyous woman that loved the Lord deeply and continues to remind us of God’s love for us. She has resided in Seattle, Washington for many years with her family.

Eunice will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 14th, 2020 in Federal Way, Washington, USA.

May the Lord rest her soul in eternal peace, until we meet again.
