EVANS ABIUD OCHOLA

With profound sadness, we announce the death of Auxiliary Bishop Evans Abiud Ochola of Voice of Salvation and healing church, Nairobi who was a devoted father, a loving husband, and a friend to many whose lives he touched.

The late Evans Abiud Ochola was son to the late Cornet Okoth and the late mama Jane Okoth of West Alego, Uranga, Siaya County. He was brother to Phoebe Ofafa, Lucy Anito, Benta Atieno, Christine Achieng, Benson Dayosa, Erastus Kwaka and late Beatrice Achieng. He was husband to Millicent Ochola of Komorock Primary School, Nairobi and father of three adorable girls, Jane Rita Ochola, Emmy Janet Ochola and Taffy Dolla Ochola.

He was the son in law to the late Kepher Oriewo Amara and Mama Janet Oriewo together with mama Pamela and Edwina Oriewo of Yimbo Usenge, Bondo. He was brother-in-law to Meshack Amala, Maurice Ouko, George Otieno,Vivian Ben, late Oscar Ofafa. Among his in-laws from Yimbo are Engineer David & Flo Maganda, Archbishop Dr. Winnie Owiti of VOSH Churches International, Henry Kefa, Ruth Orlale, Jael Kwaje, Jenipher & Joseph Aduwo, Paul Oriewo, Judy & George Gona, Lorna Kepher, Jayne Dulo, Helen Oriewo, Joanne & Charles Ochome,Tabby & Edwin Oriewo, Lish & John Oriewo, Susan & Michael Mwangi, and many others. He was uncle to many.

Until his demise, Evans was the Assistant Director in the Land Survey department, Nairobi Metropolitan Services in charge of site and service schemes, and Senior Pastor of VOSH Church Kariobangi, and Auxiliary Bishop of VOSH Nairobi East Region.

Burial is scheduled to take place on 3rd July 2021 at his home in Rawinji village in Oyugis, Homabay County.
