We announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Mama Florence Emali Echessa (Mama Neranga), wife of the late Mwalimu Gabriel Echessa Opongo from Emauko Village of Busia County, which occurred on July 21st, 2021 after bravely battling illness.

Daughter of the late Atanus Owiye and the late Marita Eshiwani. Mother of Seraphine Amatta (Vesba Eating House), Bernard Opongo, Jacinta Okhonjo, Colleta Ouma (Esidende Pimary School), Protase Echessah (AGRA), Peter Echessah (Safe Track, Borderless Tracking and Dairies), Gerald Echessah, Maximilla Echessah (Vesba) and Brenda Echessah (businesswoman). Sister to the late Grace, the late Anindo, the late Joseph, the late (Alexandria Ong’ayo) and Gaudencia.

Mother-in-law of Patrick Amatta, John Bosco Opango, Pamela Echessa, Chris Okhonjo, Cynthia Were, Ariano Karangwa, and Masha Kalamai. Granny to Vivien, Priscilla, the late Edgar, Sylvia, Brian, Bridgit, Dan, Everlyn, Moses, Barbara, Caren, Tevin, Wayne, Fiona, Edelquinc, Terrence, Teddy, Wendy, Bruce, Axela, Bakhita, Dante, Bryanna and Arabella. Friend, Aunt, and Cousin to many.

Fundraising to cater for the funeral expenses will be held today, Tuesday, 27th July 2021 at Vesba Eating House, Development House, Mezzanine Floor from 4pm to 7pm. Contributions can be channelled to Mpesa No. + 254 723 646 526 (Brigit Ouma).

The cortege will leave Butula Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday 30th July 2021 at 2.00pm for overnight vigil and burial at her home in Emauko Village, Elukongo Sub-location, Butula sub-County, Busia County on Saturday 31St July 2021.
