It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition of our matriarch Florence Kaguna Marete on 13 th June, 2024 at PCEA Chogoria Hospital Meru.

Beloved wife of the late James M’marete M’mairiti, she was cowife of the late Ncooro and Esther.

Cherished mother of the late Geoffrey Mpuria Marete, Margaret Tirindi Nkanata, Evangeline Nkuene Munyasia, Aphaxard Jim Mutegi Marete, Stella Muthoni Kinyua, Frida Igoki Kirimi, and Ashford Kiambi Marete.

Devoted mother-in-law of Stella Wanja, the Late Gladys Marete, the late Japheth Nkanata, Margaret Mutegi, Francis Munyasia, the late Erastus Kinyua, the late Franklin Kirimi and Joyce Kiambi.

Sister in-law of the late Ezekiel Kiugu, Maregi Wilson, Elizabeth Kiugu, Mary Ncheri, the late Eugenio Mwarania and the late Muthoni. Aunty of Sam Kithinji USA, Maj. Gen. Muthuri Kiugu, Douglas Mugambi Kiugu, Asenath Nkirote, among others.

Grandmother of 38grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 5.00p.m. at her home in Kithangari, St. Mary’s, Igoji and at Mutegi’s residence Kuiri, Kinoro.

The Cortege will leave PCEA Chogoria Hospital at 8.00am on Saturday 22nd June, 2024 for a Funeral Service at Mr. Mutegi’s residence in Kuiri, Kinoro followed by

interment at the same venue.
