It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Mrs. Florence Muthoni Chege, Sub-County Director of Education Kamukunji Sub-County Nairobi County.

Daughter of the late Sammy Mathai Maina and Rosemary Wachuka Mathai of Kagongo Village, Mathioya Sub-County Muranga County. Dear wife of Dr. Paul Chege Munyoike of Komarock Nairobi. Adoring mother of Dr. Charles Munyoike Chege of Kibibi Hospital Kirinyaga county and Racheal Njeri Chege. Daughter in law of the late Charles Munyoike and Rachael Njeri of Gathanji, Nyandarua County. Grandmother of Tanya Muthoni Njeri. Sister of Maina Mathai (USA) and the late Esther Maina, Joseph Muriuki and Winnie Wairimu (U.S.A), Alice Wambui Kimeu and Alex Kimeu, Simon Njaria and Grace Wanjugu, the late Jane Nduta, Peter Mathenge and Elizabeth Wanjira. Sister Inlaw of David Mburu and Nancy Mumbi, Robert Njoroge and Maria Wambui, Joseph Cuthu and Bilha Wairimu, Peris Ngendo Maina, Esther Kiboi and Bishop David Kiboi, Jecinta Nyambura, Rahab Wanjiru and George Nginyo, Mary Muthoni and Rev. Peter Karuga and Simon Munyoike and Catherine Wangari. Auntie of many.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital on Saturday 15th August 2020. Burial will be on the same day at her home in Gathanji, Oljorok, Nyandarua County.
