FRANCIS KANAKE WAHOME

We, the family of the late Francis Kanake Wahome, announce the passing on of our patriarch and pillar of strength. He resides at Mountain View Estate, Gamerock, Nyeri County.

Francis was the son of the late: Geoffrey Wahome Mwatha and Jose Muthoni Wahome. He was a son-in-law to the late: Daniel Ndoro Mumbura and Tabitha Mumbi Ndoro all of lthekahuno Village.

Francis was a devoted husband to Grace Watetu Kanake and a loving daddy to Soni Kanake, Mumbi Kanake (Isa), Wairimu Kanake & Dr Edgar Kamau Karanjah (USA), Jeff Wahome Kanake (USA), Daniel Kanake & Wachera Ngunjiri.

He was a doting grandad to: Francis Michuki, Christian Jr Nderi, Jabali Jayden Kanake, Neema Watetu, and Nyambura Njeri.

He was a brother to Mary Wairimu Muriuki,Charles Ndiritu Wahome (Wakarikwe), Henry Njaramba Wahome (Njoya), and David Githinji Wahome. He was a cousin, uncle, in-law, mentor, business colleague, and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5pm at the family home in Nyeri.

The cortege will leave Jamii Hospital, Karatina, on Friday, 11th August at 8am for a funeral service at the PCEA St Cuthbert’s Church, Nyeri, which will commence at 10am. Thereafter, interment to follow at his ancestral home: Kibeche Village, Ithekahuno, Tetu Sub-County, Nyeri County.
