It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on of our dear Francis Maina Gakuya on 2 February, 2024. Retired District Clerk, Nyeri District.

He was beloved son of the late Daniel Gakuya Gakere and the late Ellena Wanjiru Gakuya and Mary Wangu Gakuya.

Loving husband to Julia Muthoni, retired registered nurse at Oljabet Hospital.

Brother to the late Mwangi, Martin, the late Nyawira, Maina, the late Mucemi, Gathoni, Ngatia, Mundia, the late Miano, the late Kabeca, Nyawira, Gathigia, Kinyua and Wachira.

He was son in law to the late Charles Wang’ondu and the late Jane Nyaguthii.

Loving father to Wanjiru and Gaita, Jane and Muturi, Jimmy and Wambui, Wang’ondu, Mercy and Kelvin.

Dotting grandfather to Janice, Mark, Ron, Jian, Bianca, Imani, Binea, Mitch, Kina, and Emmanuel.

Daily prayers are ongoing at his Gatero farm, Marmanet, Laikipla County, where he shall be laid to rest on Friday, 9th February 2024 at 11.00am.

The cortege leaves St. Benedict Hospital, Domus Funeral Home Nyahururu at 8.00am.
