It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s divine will that we announce the passing or our beloved mzee Francis Migiro Ongwae (Malitonya).

Son of the late James Ongwae Rosasi and the late Mama Esther Nyanchama Ongwae. Brother of Nyanchera, Nyamisa, Samuel, Momanyi, Norah, Pauline, Monicah, the late Kwamboka, the late Teresiah and Oseno. Beloved husband of Mary Bosibori Migiro. Father of Job Rosasi (Teacher-Nyamira), Lameck Migiro (KTDA-Headquarters), Stellah George (Nurse-KTRH), Emily Nyasuguta (Teacher Ogembo), Robin Mwaro (Twiga Foods-NRB), Oscar Obwori (KTDA-Sang’anyi) and Geoffrey Ongwae (Teacher – NRB). Grandfather of Ian, Ryanne, Hillary, Brezneve, Lovincia, Natalie, Nigel, Quinton, Jasmine. Sheila, Becky and Joseph.

Father In-Law of Eunice, Jackline, Cynthia, George, Harriet, Penina, Kepha and Divinah. Son In-law of the late Daniel Omego and the late Priscah Kemunto, the late Ondieki, the late Nyakeria, Peter Nyandege and Nyapeni Omoro (Wamashalla). Brother-in-law of Grace, Kimwomi, the late Onyango, Peter, James, Simon, George, Pamella, Callen, Ruth, Julius, Kennedy, Nyakoria, Peninah, Rose, the late Kennedy, Evans, Ondieki, Ronald, Japhet and Pastor Arama. Cousin of the late Josiah, Ishamel, Charles, Nyakundi, Evans, Zephaniah, Martha, Hellen, Leah and Jane.

The cortege leaves Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) Mortuary Kisumu on Thursday 29th October, 2020 for his home at Matongo Village, Matongo Sub-Location, Bokeira Location, Nyamira Northth Sub-County, Nyamira County. He will be laid to rest on Friday 30th October, 2020.
