FRANCIS WILLIAM AKUMU OCHIENG

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Francis William Akumu Ochieng, which occurred on 25th May, 2023.

Son of the late Johannes Ochieng Ogonjo and the late Magdalina Oundo.

Beloved husband to the late Consolata Atieno Owang and Millicent Akinyi Akumu. Father to Thomas Otieno, the late Antony Onyango, Esther Akinyi, Ronald Ochieng, Teresa Odinga, Joseph Oriwo, Brian Ochieng, Yvonne Aoko, Magdalene Oundo and William Otieno.

Grandfather to Francis, Amos, Jael Mich, Glen, Heskey, Allen, Joyrose, Joseph, Calvin, Hillary, Jane, William,Abigael, Jamie,Tarick, and Anaiah.

Brother to the late Margaret Okoth, John Opiyo, Peter Odongo, Zacharia Agenga, the late Elizabeth Aloo and the late Angeline Awuor. Brother-in-law to James and Monicah, the late Caleb, Fred and Agatha, Amos and Angela, the late Benard Otieno, Margaret, Eunice and Florence, the late Abiero, the late Ngesa, the late Okoyo, the late Ohanyo, the late Ochieng, Jennifer, Rosemary and Opondo Rahembe. Father-in-law to Thomas Ogutu, Amos Oketch, Peter Maina, Beatrice Achieng, Eunice Otieno and Nelly Indasi.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Kimathi Estate House No. B30.

Main Harambee will be held on Tuesday 6th June, 2023 at All Saints Cathedral from 5.00p.m.
he cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Nairobi on Thursday 8th June, 2023 for a memorial mass at Donbosco Catholic Church, Upperhill starting at 2.00 p.m.

A mass followed by burial will be held on Saturday, 10th June, 2023 at his home in Pap Konunga, within Siaya Municipality starting from 9.00a.m.
