It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Fridah Kananu Kinyua – Kimathi of Nation Media Group PLC, at Nairobi Hospital on 26th July 2023.

Beloved wife to Alex Kimathi formerly of Serena Hotel Nairobi. Loving mother to Kevin Mwenda (Chogoria Boys) and Brian Mwandiki (Midas Golden Academy).

Beloved daughter of Mwalimu lchillio Kinyua and the lateTeresa Kathiga Kinyua of Kaongo Village Imenti, Central, Meru County. Beloved daughter-in-law of the late Fredrick Kithinji and Tabitha Kithinji of Kaguma village, Maara Tharaka Nithi County.

Sister to Regina Makena, Richard Mwirebua (KDF), Pius Kimathi (Ministry of Interior), Edwin Mwiti (Businessman, Nairobi).

Sister-In-Law to Col. Fred Muchera (KDF), Sophie Mwirebua, Hope Kimathi, Rachael Mwiti (ITDP), Nyaga Kithinji, Irene Nyagah, Rachel Macharia,Wanja Gitari, Clement Mawira and Jasper Munene. She was a wonderful cousin, auntie, niece and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily in Nairobi, Kaongo Village and at her rural home – Kaguma Village from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 4th August 2023 for funeral service and burial at her home – Kaguma Village, Kirumi Location, Maara Sub-County.
