GEOFFREY MWANIKI KANJA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the sudden death after a short illness of Mr. Geoffery Mwaniki Kanja at the Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi on 17th July 2020. Mwaniki was formerly of Kenya Railways and Wamahiu Holdings.

Beloved husband of the late Rebecca Wanjiru Mwaniki. Loving and devoted father of Caroline & Robert Marubu — UK, Pauline & Davies Mwaura, Julius Kanja and Jackie Kanja. Son of the late Josphat Kanja Muchina and the late Murugi of Kariguini Village, Nyeri County.

Brother of the late Wachugu Mugereki, Mary Njeri Wang’ombe, the late Watetu, the late Wangechi Kimotho and the late Waweru among other siblings. Cousin of Joseph Kinyua Kanja. Grandfather of Amy, Mark, Stacey, Nicole, Nathan and Ryan Mwaniki. In-law of the Mutuota’s (Mutco) Family, Stanley Marubu Family, Henry Maina’s Family and a loving uncle and friend to many. Special friend of Kinyua Ngunjiri, Dr. Kabithe, Stephen Gitau, Stephen Muchemi and Kamangu (MCA Ruai).

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 21st July at 8am and the burial thereafter at his Kariguini home, Nyeri County at 11am.

Rest in peace dad, brother, grandfather and friend till we meet again.
