GEORGE GESUMWA MAYIEKA (MORARA)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of George Gesumwa Mayieka (Morara) on 21st October, 2024 at Mounds View in Minnesota USA.

Son of the late Stanslaus Mayieka and Mama Zibia Nyakara Mayieka of Nyamakoroto Village, Gesima Ward, Kitutu Masaba Sub-county – Nyamira County.

Husband of Faith Kwamboka formerly of War Memorial Hospital – Nakuru. Father of Jayme, Jayden, Jakes, Andy and Kenya.

Brother of the late Martha Moraa, Jerry Mayieka (Nakuru), Rachel Nyanga’ate (Kakamega), Elizabeth Marigi (USA), Peter Mayieka (USA), Henry Mayieka (USA), Jane Nyabonyi (USA), Eucabeth Nyakerario (Nakuru) and Susan Mokeira (USA). 

Brother-in-law of Ombagi, Eucabed Mayieka (Nakuru), Saisi (Kakamega), Marigi (USA), Grace (USA), Russell Jackson (USA), Pamella (USA), Alex (Nakuru), Manow (USA), Innocent, Vasborn, Dorine, Indrah, Anne and Mercy.

Son-in-law of the late James Motanya and Mama Loise Mokeira. 

Uncle of Martha (UK), Kevu (USA), Nancy (USA), Joan (USA), Daniel, Ruth (USA), Jamal, Grace, Jimal and Monari among others. 

Cousin of Nelson Ndubi, the late  Nyamagare, Orori, the late Abner, H.E former Governor of Kisii County James Ongwae and Otuke among others.

Nephew of the late Christopher Ondeu, Nelson Ongwae, James Gesumwa (Texas), Prof. Bosire and Amb. Yabesh among others. Grandson of Rebecca Gesumwa.

Family and Friends are meeting daily for prayers at their home in Ngata, Fairview Estate starting 5:00pm.

There will be a fund drive at Regina Hotel Nakuru on Tuesday, 12 th November, 2024 from 5:00 pm.

The Cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru on Thursday 14th November, 2024 at 8:00 am for a Church service at SDA Church, Nakuru West at 9:00 am and thereafter proceed to their Nyamakoroto Home Gesima Ward, Kitutu Masaba Sub-county – Nyamira County.

The Burial will be on Friday 15 th November, 2024.
