It is with utmost sadness but with humble acceptance of God’s will that the family of George Wanjau Githae, wish to announce his death on Sunday 15th March 2020 at Coptic Hospital-Nairobi. He was a former Manager Operations, KCB Nyeri Branch.

Loving husband of Jane Wagithi Wanjau. Son of the late Githae Wanjau and Mrs. Cecilia Mumbi Githae. Step-son of the late Mrs. Salome Gathoni Githae (WAKEI) and Mrs. PeninaWaniugu Githae. Father of Nicholas Karingithi, Anthony Gathara of Safaricom-Meru, Nicholas Nderitu, Diana Wahito and Cecilia Mumbi. Son-in-law of the late Mary Njoki Wandeto. Brother of the late Mrs. Mary Gathigia Wanjau, Mrs Anne Ngima Kinyua, Mrs Charity Wangari Gathatwa, the late Wambui Githae, Joe Wanjau, Misheikh Wanjau, the late Martin Maim Githae, Mrs Agnes Wanjugu Mahinda, Victor Maina Githae, Livingstone Kanyi Githae (KRA), the late Irene Muthoni Githae, Mrs Rosalid Wangu Thuo, Stephen Gachingiri, Susan Gathigia, Mrs Reginah Wangari Mutungu, Samuel Gachingiri Githae, Carol Wamuyu Githae, Patrick Gachingiri Githae, Jackson Kangeri Githae, Duncan Githitho Githae and Caroline Wambui Kibuchi.

Nephew of Simon Kibui Wanjau, Mathenge Wanjau (alias KIGWA), Mrs. Wambui Kaburia, the late Samuel Gachingiri Wanjau, the late Karuiru Wanjau, the late Kangeri Wanjau, the late Kinyua Wanjau. Brother-in-law of Andrew Gathara and Mrs.Anne Kanyi among many others. Grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his rural home Kianjiruini, Kanjuri village for funeral arrangements.

The cortege lives Jamii Nursing Home Karatina at 8:00 am on Saturday 21st March, 2020. Funeral and Burial Service will be held at his home Kianjiruini, Kanjuri from 10:00 am.
