GERALD MBUTHIA JONAH MACHARIA

21st September 1939 – 13th August 2024

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Gerald Mbuthia Jonah Macharia.

He hailed from Gacharage-ini, Mathioya, Murang’a County. Gerald was the loving husband of Edith Waithira.

He was the son of the late Jonah Kaibere and the late Peris Wairimu, and son-in-law of the late Fredrick Babu, the late Phyllis Wangui and Njoki Babu.

He was brother of Esther Nyambura, the late Simon Mwangi, Rebeccah Gichiriri, Solomon Kimani, and the late Samuel Wachira.

He was a devoted father of Mercy Wairimu, Charles Macharia, Fredrick Kariuki, Phyllis Wangui, Faith Nyambura, Simon Kaguma, and Rachel Njeri.

Father-in-law of Victoria Wambui, Olive Wairimu, and Cedric Muindi.

Gerald was also a cherished grandfather of Ronald, Elisha, Enoch, Caleb, Ella, Katelyn, Neema, and Imani.

Burial preparation meetings will be held on 15th, 16th, and 19th August 2024 at PCEA St. Andrews Church from 5:30 pm.

The burial service will take place on 21st August 2024 at his Gacharage-ini home
