It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden transition of Geraldine Marie Nekesa Wangia (formerly Imani School and Mjengo Limited Thika), which occurred on 07/02/2022 at Central Memorial Hospital, Thika. Geraldine was retired and a part time tutor until her death.

Daughter of Joseph and Helen Creeden of Waltham, Massachusetts, USA and wife to Boaz Wesonga Wangia (formerly Del Monte Kenya). Mother to Jessica Wangia (USA), Jennifer Giniewicz (USA), Joseph Wangia (USA) and Jamie Wangia (USA). Mother-in-law to Joe Giniewicz (USA) and Channa Kong (USA). Grandmother to Jordan, Carter, Victor and Richie.

Sister to the late Jack (Arlene) Creeden (USA), Anne aka Nancy (Frank) Vincent (USA), Charles (Lois) Creeden (USA), Rosemary Creeden Otto (Tom) (USA) andTom (Cheryl) Creeden (USA). Daughter-in-law to the late Thomas and the late Elizabeth Wangia.

Sister-in-law to the late Dr. Ruth Isiaho (the late Dr. Meshack Isiaho), the late Joshua (the late Selina, Refa, Lillian), the late Dr. Habil (Beatrice), the late Charles (Esther, Miriam), the late Wanjala (Kezia), Obadiah (the late Ramona), Dr. Caleb (Dr. Sabina), Gideon (the late Benigna), Gamaliel (Dr. Joyce), Adah Adoyo (Bishop Boniface Adoyo), Engineer Jared (Dr. Christine), the late Melab Situma (Prof Francis Situma), Dr. Phillip (Rosalid) (Botswana), Advocate Roselyn Wekesa (Prof Moni Wekesa), Malaya (Alice) and Hon. Kulati Wangia (Emmy). Beloved aunt, teacher and friend to many.

Prayers and burial arrangements will be held at her home in Thika.

There will be a service on Thursday 17/2/22 at 1pm at Thika friends church Makongeni.

The cortege will leave Thika on 18/02/2022 with the burial ceremony to take place on 19/02/2022 at her home in Chebuyusi, Navakholo Sub-county. Kakamega County.
