It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Getrude Jepkemboi Kibet. Born in Tiryo, Emgwen, Nandi County.

Daughter of the Late Prospea Kibet arap Kandawa and the Late Pauline Kibet and the Late Jane Cheptoo Bor. Wife of the Late Robert John Whitford. Loving mother of the Retired Chief Mama Rukia Chepkorir Kibet (Maili Nne). Sister to Plantina Bot Agui Muget, Kipkoech Bett, the Late Kipkering Bett, Joseph Koech Kipserem, Cheptabut Kiili and Monica Mwei.

She was the grandmother of Barbara Chebet, Julie Chemutai (Geneva), Angela Cherono, Michelle Chepkoech, Brenda Chepchirchir, Robert Kiptoo, Belinda Chebatlp and Kevin Kiptimo. Grand mother-in-law to Martin Chesire. Great grand mother to Yvonne, Venessa, Liam, Wesley, Melisa, Melanie and Gabriella Chesire, Mergan, Maya and Amanda.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral home on Friday at 7:00 a.m. for Thanksgiving Mass at Consolata Shrine (Westlands), thereafter the entourage will travel to Eldoret.

Burial and funeral rites will be held on Saturday 13 June 2020 at Kapyemit in Turbo, Uasin Gishu County,
