GODFREY GACHOKI WAIRIA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Godfrey Gachoki Wairia, that occurred on 20th September 2024.

He was the Chairman Board of Directors, Iria-ini Tea Factory and a Board Member 2NK Sacco. He hailed from Kihuri, Kiandemi, Othaya. 

Son of the late Erastus Wairia Kariuki and Gladys Mweru. Husband of Grace Wanjiru Gachoki of Gikomba. Son-in-law of Leonard Njiiri Kigo and Lilian Wangari Njiiri. 

Father of Alex Wairia and Ryan Njiiri.

Brother of Margaret Wangeci, Stephen Kariûki (Kates Apartments), Gerald Wageni, the late Mary Mbuki, the late Grace Wairimu, the late Lucy Muthoni and the late Joyce Wamuyu. Uncle, grandfather and brother-in-law to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home Kihuri Village, Othaya from 3.00 p.m and at Blue Springs Hotel Thika Road starting from 6.00 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

Their will be a requiem mass at ICC/S Church Kayole on Thursday 26 th September 2024 at 2.00 pm.

The cortege leaves KNH Mwai Kibaki Annex Othaya Mortuary on Saturday, 28th September 2024 at 8.30 am for a funeral service to be held at Kihuri Secondary School grounds starting from 10.00 am and burial thereafter at his Kihuri home, Kiandemi, Othaya, Nyeri County.
