GRACE WAMBUI MUNGAI (CUCU WA KURUMA)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our Family Matriarch, Grace Wambui Mungai (Cucu wa Kuruma) of Zimmerman Estate on 13th January 2023 after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Njoroge wa Munene and Murugi Njoroge.

Wife to the late James Mungai (Kimondo). Mother to the late John Karanja, Damaris Njoki, the late Murugi Mungai, the late Dennis Kamau and the late David Gitau.

Sister to Holida Nyakarago, the late John Wamaniee, the late Jane Njoroge, the late James Gathu, the late Richard Gitau and George Wagacha (Canada).

The late Grace Wambui was beloved grandmother to the late Damaris Karanja, James Karanja, Moses Karanja, Njoroge Karanja, George Karanja, Mercy Kibunyi, Moses Thumi, Monica Thumi, Mary Thumi, James Thumi, Carol Kamau, Wanjiku Kamau, Pauline Kamau, Sylvia Kamau and James Gitau. She was great and great-great-grandmother to many.

Meetings are taking place every day at her residence in Zimmerman Estate (Base Road) and Mwimuto from 5:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Referral University Mortuary (By pass) at 7.00am for a requiem service at ACK St. Andrews Zimmerman (Canopy Stage) on 20th January 2023 from 10.00am.The burial will take place at her Farm in Gathiga Village – Kiambu County.

Let our hearts be calmed by the message in 2 Timothy 4-7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
