We announce the demise of Grace Wangari Njenga which occurred on 21st June 2024 after an illness bravely borne.

Wife of the late Isaac Njenga and co-wife of the late Gladys Mumbi and the late Naomi Nyambura Njenga.

She was the firstborn child of the late Benson Gutu and Eunice Ngenia.

Sister of susan Njeri, Salome Njoki, Benson Kamau, Rtd. Pst Daniel Kiara, Samuel Ndirangu, John Mungai, the late Gerald Ndegwa, Beth Wanjiku and Benjamin Njoroge. Step-sister of the late Joram Kamau, the late Phyllis Njoki, the late Samuel Thuo, Eunice Njeri, the late Gerald Ndegwa, Peninah Muthoni, Wanjiku and Mabutia.

Mother of Thomas Kinyanjui (USA), Margaret Mwihaki (Mombasa), Alice Nungari (UK), George Mwaura (Sobea), Susan Njeri (USA), Salome Muthoni (Canada), Jane Wambui (UK), Moses Kamau (USA), Joyce Waithira (UK), Loise Wanjiku (Canada), and Elizabeth Gaciku (USA).

Step-mother of the late Lucy Mwihaki, John Kinyanjui, the late Michael Mburu, the late Kamau, Agnes Muthoni, Peter Waweru, the late Joseph Githigiu, Mwihaki and Wanjiku. Grandmother of Joseph, Brian, Anthony, Chelsea, Mitchell, Raven, Gianna, Clive, Isaac,Tianna, Grace Wangari and Diana among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Nakuru Athletics Club (NAC) and her home in Sobea, Nakuru County for burial and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home-Nakuru at 9.00am on Monday 1 st July 2024 for burial at her Kangakinga Farm in Sobea, Nakuru County.
