Hannah Njoki Kamau (Waranja)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Hannah Njoki Kamau (Waranja), that occurred on 13’7 March 2022.

Daughter of the late Karanja Wanyiri and the late Elizabeth Wairimu.

Wife to the late Meshack Kamau Mathinji. Mother to Isabelle Wandiri (Kidfamaco -Kikuyu), David Mathinji (Min of Agriculture Kirinyaga), Karanja Kamau (KK Metal Works – Voi), Elizabeth Wairimu (KICD), John Kamau (H/Teacher Nakeel Pry), Francis Kanyiri (Power Springs – Voi), Kiongera BK (Kiambu County Government), Dr Simon Kamau (OAG, Mombasa Customs), George Kamau (Mwatate Junior), Rose Wanjiru (Kamunyu), Pauline Kamau (Gitwe Girls), Njeri Kamau (Muthoga Gaturu Advocates), Agatha Wangui (Modern pharmacy Utawala).

Step-mother to Isabelle Wandiri Mburu (Githunguri) among others.

Mother-in-law to the late William Makumi (Kikuyu), Margaret Wairimu (Embu), Virginia Karanja (Voi), Simon Njue (Embu), Lily Kanyiri (Voi), Pauline Kiongera (Kikuyu), Ruth Sintei (Kenyatta Rd), Nancy Nyambura (Mwatate), Ngitung’i Kamuiru (Nairobi), Njoroge Kamau (Githunguri), John Macharia (Equity) and the late Esther Gachire Kaguai (Ngong).

She was grandmother to Ann, Christine Njoki, Helen, Kelvin, Martin,Waithaka, Rosemary, Evelyn, Jecinta, Meshack, Nelson, David, Jessica, James, Joan, Liz, Joes Mark, Gedion, Maxwell, Deborah K. Martin Kiongera, Ken, Joy, Bill. Rooney, David Njuguna Keen, Faith, Sam, Nate, Shadrack, Kevas, Kamuiru, Hilda, Harriet, Simon Kamau, Meshack Kamau, Laura,Tatiana, Lianna, and Amy Njoki among many others.

Great grandmother to Mitchell, Dave, Wairimu, Blessings, Jamin, Xolani, lyona, Mark, Christine, Ethan, Nathan, Olivia among many others.

Aunt, cousin, and friends to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Muhara village, Githungucu sub-location, Gatundu sub-county, Gatundu South.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (Kahawa West) on Wednesday 23rd March 2022 at 8.00am for mass at Martyrs of Uganda Gatundu Catholic Church at 10.am and thereafter burial at her home at Muhara village Gatundu sub-county.
