It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Matriarch, Harriet Karia Mbae of Tharaka Nithi County, Chogoria location, Kaimanderi Village on 24th September 2024.

She was daughter of the late Rumberia Mutuni and the late Charity Gaaji (Kamami).

She was a loving wife of the late Ephantus Mbae M’ibuuri and mother of George Nyaga, the late Dainlight Kithuchi, Humphrey Munene, Jeniffer Kaari, Owen Murithi and Ariel Ireri.

Mother-in-Law of Elijah Njeru,Rose Kagwiria, Kellen Kainyu, Lucy Njeri, Beth Wanjiku and the Late Rose Makena.

Cherished Grandmother of Juliet Kagendo, Victor Mwenda, Peter Muriithi & Anne Waithera, Brian Kimandi & Mercy Chepkirui, Pamela Gatwiri and Joseph Kagai, Eric Mbae, Lynn Mukami, Faith Kawira, Brian Nyaga, Anthony Njeru, Harriet Kanana, and Lauren Muthoni.

Doting great grandmother to Martin, Kian, Ayla, Breelyn and Neria.

She was sister of the late Eustace Mutegi, the late Joses Mburia, the late Erastus Micheni, the late Mercy Mukwanjeru and the late Wilson Kimandi.

She was step-sister of the late Parmanus Njagi, the late M’Baruthi Ireri, the late Lundia Mukami and the late Ephantus M’Reira.

She was sister-in-Law of the late (Bilha, John, Kaburi and Japhet). She was an aunt, cousin, niece and friend to many.

Friends and family meetings are ongoing in Nairobi at All Saints’ Cathedral from 5:30 PM and at her home daily in Kaimanderi/ Kithiru village from 4:00 PM.

Burial service will be held on Thursday, 3rd October 2024 at P.C.E.A Chogoria Church and will be laid to rest at her home on the same day.
