It’s with the acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the sudden death of Mama Hedwigis Ngore Opiyo which occurred on 12th August, 2022.

She was the wife to the late Mwalimu Boniface Opiyo Achola. Daughter of the late Senior Chief Ogutu Gor and Josepher Ohinga of Kanyamwa, Homabay County. Mother to Rose, Joseph, Gertrude, Philip, Pauline, Paul, Andrew, Phelisters and Mary.

Co-wife to Bernadette, Elsa, Lewnida and the late Magdaline. Stepmother to Vincent, Austin, David, Mercylus, Christine, Gregory, Fredrick, Martha, Raphael, Celestine, Gabriel, Isabel and Lawrence.

Aunt to John, Agoya, Riaga, Tacy, Bob, Joel, Pascal, Alloys, Oginga, Lennox, Blaise, Okeyo, Carillus, Bugo, Oboro, Thamasis, Saline, Syprina, Richard, Maurice, and others.

Sister to Agwaro, Obunga,Akite, the late Ochuodho, Osore, Consolata, Scholastica,Ambasa, Maritha and others.

Sister-in-law to Mark, Christina, the late Leonard and Catherina.

Mother-in-law to Tabitha, Susan, Lilian, Milka, Bob, Omonge,Tobias, Bonn,Agumba, Ojal, Steve and the late Obunga.

Grandmother to Caroline, Stephen,Wickliffe, Biko,Victor, Valma, Boniface, Anthony, Philip, Sylvester, Martin, Griffins, Nick, Willy, Levi, Giovanni, Angelo, Delight, Lincon, Newton, Tandi, Effy, Cosam, Collins, Jesse, Mike, Wendy, Sam, Demosh (late), Sheila-Rose, and others. Great-grandmother to Adrian, Maria-Darias, Elamarie, Marcela and Ivanna.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, 26th August, 2022 from 10.00am at her home in Ngulu Village, Kochia Central, Homa-Bay County.
