HON. EZRA KABUGA KIHARA

It is with heavy hearts and in acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the untimely demise of Honourable Ezra Kabuga Kihara through a tragic road accident on Sunday 22 nd September 2024.

He was a specially elected MCA at the County Assembly of Kiambu.

He was a darling husband of Jackline Wacera Kabuga (NCBA Bank – Kenol Branch) and a loving father to Dylan Kihara, Dasha Wanjiru (both of St. George’s Academy Ngoingwa, Thika) and baby Dora Waithira.

He was a cherished son of Elias Kihara and Margaret Wanjiru of Kiambugi, Kiharu Constituency. Son-in-law of Sospeter Kamau and Virginia Wagaturi Kamau (Kambara, Mathioya Constituency).

A very dear brother of Leah Kihara and William Kihara; and brother-in-law of Martin Mugambi, Catherine Muiruri, Hannah Njeri,Timothy Maina and James Njagi. He loved his nieces and nephews including Murugi, Mutugi, Eli, Darius, Marcus, Kabuga, Melania, Alvin,Victor, Sharleen and Brianna.

He was a grandson of the late Mary & William Rurungá, the late John Kabuga, Wakagechi, Wakibinge and Waciru. He was a nephew of Thairus, Giturus, Muhias and Nyambura (late), Wambui, Joyce, Kimanis, Wanjiku, Menjas and others. He also was very close to his cousins.

He was an active leader at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Ngoingwa.

He was a dedicated member of the UDA party and a member of UDA National Elections Board Technical team for grassroots elections.

At the County Assembly, he served in several committees, including; Budget and Appropriation; Youth Sports and Social Services; County Innovation, Communication and Technology; and the Committee of Powers and Privileges.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers at his home in Ngoingwa Estate, Thika and at his parent’s home in Gaturi, Murangá County.

There shall be requiem mass on Thursday 26 th September 2024 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Ngoingwa,Thika from 3.00pm followed by a fundraiser.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral home Kabati on Tuesday, 1st October, 2024 at 7.00 am for a funeral service at Kiambugi Primary School (Gaturi ward, Kiharu constituency, Murangá County) and final interment at the family farm thereafter.

Honorable Ezra, on the sands of time you have left your footprints with glory.

We shall all remember your story and we will truly miss you. In God’s hands you rest AMEN
