HON. JUSTICE DANIEL OGEMBO OGOLA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Hon. Justice Daniel Ogembo Ogola, which occurred on 17th July 2024 at his Siaya residence.

He was the son of Eliakim Ogola Onyango and the late Tabitha Atieno Ogola.

Justice Ogola was stepson to the late Angeline Ogola. He was the husband of Hon.

Grace Omodho and father of Carlton Wayne, Corene Tabitha and Richmond Austin.

Justice Ogola was the brother of Moses Ouma, Zilper Ogutu, Ruth Oyoo, John Billy, the late Josephine Akoth, David Ooro and Grace Dolly.

He was brother-in-law of the Omodho family, Odawa, the late Chuchu, Dr. Amuka, Eng. Ojowi, Hon. Anyanga, Eng. Weinert, Bart and Byegon.

Additionally, he was brother-in-law of the late Ogutu Nanda, Andrew Oyoo, Ezekiel Sewe, Carolyne Ouma, Millicent Billy and Linda Ooro.

Justice Daniel Ogembo Ogola joined the Judiciary in 2004 as a Senior Resident Magistrate rising through the ranks to Chief Magistrate and was appointed as a Judge of the High Court on 19 December 2016.

At the time of his death, he was serving as the Presiding Judge at the Siaya High Court.

The memorial service to celebrate the life of Justice Ogola will be held at SDA Lavington Church off Gitanga Road on Monday, 29 July 2024, at 1:00 PM.

The burial will take place on 2nd August 2024 at the family home in Kakrao Migori County.
