HON. JUSTICE DAVID AMILCAR SHIKOMERA MAJANJA
It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Hon. Justice David Amilcar Shikomera Majanja which occurred on 10 July 2024 at the Nairobi Hospital.
He was the son of Gerishom Majanja, the late Bilha Majanja and Priscilla Majanja.
Justice Majanja was the brother of Louis, Janet, Annette, Allan, Martin, Geri and Bianca.
He was the brother in law of Eric Lelo, Velma Mambo and Francesca Siema. He was the beloved uncle of Amali, Shiloh, Faraji and Shani among others.
Justice Majanja was the grandson of James Liyai, Peris Lutivini, Jotham Liyai and Elisabeth Arumba.
He was the paternal nephew of Lucas Sore, Esther Sore, Patrick Milimu, Marciline Milimu, Richard Liyai, the late Mark Shitambasi, the late MacJames Chivoli, Jedidah Chivoli, the late Edward Khamasi, the late Jackson Siema, Jane Siema, the late Gilbert Kembu and Jackline Kembu.
He was maternal nephew of Abraham and Florence Liyai, Hudson and Abigail Liyai, Dorcas and Tobias Senyeli, Caleb and Doretta Liyai, late Phoeby Liyai, Merab and Patrick Mulindi.
Justice Majanja was a beloved cousin, friend, mentor and colleague to many.
Justice Majanja was appointed a Judge of the High Court in 2011.
At the time of his death, he was serving in the Civil Division in Nairobi and was a Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission representing the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association.
The funeral service will be held at Friends International Centre along Ngong Road on Wednesday 17 July 2024 at 9 am followed by a private interment.
A memorial service will be hosted by Kakamega Friends Yearly Meeting at his parents’ home at Muraka, Kakamega on Saturday 20 July 2024 at 9 am.
