HON JUSTICE (RTD.) ANDREW ISAAC HAYANGA

It is with humble hearts and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear Father Husband Brother Uncle and Learned friend the Hon. Rid Justice Andrew Isaac Hayanga of A.I. Hayanga Associates, Mombasa which occurred on the 25th April 2023 whilst he was undergoing treatment at The Aga Khan Hospital, Mombasa.

He was the Son of the late Mzee Sergeant Reuben Orinda of Misori, Yimbo and Pelesiah Otanda of Nyangera, Yimbo, Siaya County. He was the Son-in-law to the late Canon Jeremiah Musungu Awori and the late Maryamu Odongo Awori.

Hon. Rtd Justice Andrew Hayanga was a devoted husband of Lay Canon Christine Alice Awori Hayanga of Hayanga & Company Advocates, Nairobi. Father of Denning Reuben Orinda Hayanga, Lulu Ojiro Maurizio of the State Law Office and Prof. Jeremiah Awori Hayanga of West Virginia University, USA.

A brother to George Ochuodho Anna Ochocko, Mary Dola and Joseph Ogola (all late).

He was a brother-in-law to Joshua Awori (late), John Odera (late), Dr. Pius Okelo (late), John Ouya (late) Prof Nelson Awori (late,) Former HE VP Dr. Uncle Moody Awori, Lay Canon Margaret Openda, Dr. Mary Okelo, Jane Ogola, Dorika Ochuodho, Nyasega Consolata Abimu among others.

Father-in-law to Carolyne Wangamati, Fregoni Maurizio and Heather Kaiser and a Grandfather to many including Andrew, Michelangelo, Joshua, Nathaniel, Adam, Simon, Isaac, Christian, Diana, Awittie, Jeannette, Vicky, Sharon, Eddie, Cecil and Jewel.

Friends and family are meeting at his Runda home today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) for prayers starting at 2.00p.m till 5.00p.m

There will be a fundraiser at The All Saints Cathedral Multipurpose Hall to help defray hospital bills on Monday 1st May, 2023 starting at 2.00p.m.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Hon. Rtd Justice Hayanga will be held on Tuesday the 2nd May, 2023 at The All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi starting at 2.00p.m.

Hon. Rtd Justice Andrew Isaac Hayanga will be laid to rest at his rural home in Misori Yimbo, Siaya County on Thursday 4th May, 2023 starting at 9.00a.m.
