IGNATIUS KIOKO MUTIA

It is with profound, deep sorrow and humble submission to God’s will that we regret to announce the sudden passing on of Ignatius Kioko Mutia on 21st January, 2023 after a brave battle with severe pneumonia in Intensive Care Unit.

Beloved son of Maurice Mutia Munyao and Rose Munyao.

Husband to Regina Mutei Kioko. A doting father to Claudio Munyao and Ethan Mutia.

Son-in-law to the late Boniface Kasee and Veronica Kasee.

Loving brother to the late Claude Munyao Mutia and Dr.Thecla Mutia (GDC and FAO Kenya).

Brother-in-law to Leonard Wafula (GDC), William Kasee and Eunice Nduku.

Adoring uncle toYasmine Mukite, Lucious Ndirangu, Lucas Ndirangu, among many others.

Nephew to the late Joseph Munyoki, the late Boniface Musyoka, Robert Mulwa, the late Francis Mwanza, Veronica Mailu, the late Josephine Kavengi, Patricia Mutinda, the late Stephen Kioko, Josephine Kimoli, Beatrice Kitili, amongst others. Cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Mikindani – Mombasa, Sentrim Castle Royal Hotel – Mombasa and Kitui (Kalawa Sub-location, Changwithya East).

Two fundraisers (Pay-bill no. 8051928, Acc no.Your Name) to offset the hospital bill, will be held on Sunday, 29 January, 2023 at his residence in Mikindani – Mombasa, from 3.00pm and on Tuesday 31 January, 2023 at KPA – Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Jocham Hospital Mortuary (Mombasa) on 2nd February, 2023 at 9.00am for burial on 3rd February, 2023 at 11.00am at his home in Kalawa Sub-location, Changiwithya East, Kitui County.

Special thanks to the medical team and staff of the Mombasa Hospital for tirelessly attending to Ignatius while on treatment. We appreciate friends and relatives for the overwhelming support.
