IRENE WAMUHU MATU

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother of Irene Wamuhu Matu on June, 21st 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Githiiri Gaitho and the late Kanyi Gaitho of Karecheni, Muguga. Wife of the late John Matu Tweni. Mother of the late Patrick Kimani, Lucy Muthoni Kimani, David Wamarema, Simon Githua of Motorcare Ltd, Francisca Nyiha Karanja of Motorcare, (Cleaning Services), Thomas Njuguna of Dale Ventures Ltd and Teresia Wanja Njuguna. Sister to the late Mary Wanja Gaitho. Aunt to Joseph Karano Gaitho, Francis Wamarema Gaitho, Kimani Kiarie and Peter Muroki Gaitho. Mother-in-law to Anne Wairimu Kimani, Edward Kimani Kariuki, Kate Njoki Wamarema, Maria Githua, Jane Njuguna, the late James Karanja Gichungumwa, Charity, Mary Matu, and Samuel Njuguna. Grandmother to Martin Kimani, Irene Kimani, the late Alex Kimani, David Kimani, Sheila Kimani, Eric Kimani, Mark Kimani, Irene Wamarema, Nicholas Wamarema, Eva Wamarema, Irene Githua, Angela Githua, David Githua, Diana Karanja, Kimberly Karanja, Stephanie Njuguna, Daina Njuguna, Daniel Matu, Nicholas Gitonga ,Timoen Njuguna, Dickson Njuguna, Harriet Njuguna, John Njuguna and the late Moses Njuguna. She was a great grandmother to many.

The funeral service will be held at the grave site at her home on 26th June, 2020 in Kiamara, Kijabe opposite Uttam Singh at 10:00 am.
