We regret to announce the promotion to glory of sister Irene Wanjiku Ndegwa on Saturday 2/5/2020.

Daughter of the late Phylis Nyokabi, Jane Wanjiru, and late Francis Hiuhu Ng’ang’ira. Daughter in love of Janet Wamuni and Ndegwa Kang’ethe. Wife of the late Francis Kabogo Ndegwa. Mother of Wamuni and Edwin Mwaura (Pennsylvania), Nyokabi and Ken Gitobu (Minnesota), Ndegwa and Dr. Waringa Kabogo, and Mwihaki Kabogo. Grandmother of Gabriella, Gianna and Emma Gitobu, Joshua and Joanna Mwaura, and Ryan Ndegwa. Sister of Margaret Muchori, the late George Ng’ang’ira, the late Stephen Karuhia, the late Elizabeth Mbugua, Grace Mwema, Henry Gatehi, James Munene, the late Bernard Muiruri, Damaris Kimani, the late George Ng’ang’ ira, James Karoma, Geoffrey Hiuhu, Joseph Ndaba, Charles Mwiruri, Haron Mburu, Lydia Wanjiku, and Elizabeth Mumbi. Sister in love of the late Samwel Kang’ethe, Wairimu Kamanu, Beatrice Njoroge, the late Esther Kunga, Lydia Ndiho, Mary Mbugua, and Fredrick Njoroge.

She will be laid to rest at Langata Cemetery on Tuesday 5th May, 2020 in a private ceremony, in line with the government’s directive.
