It is with profound shock, sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of our beloved Jacob Ochieng’ Awino, Bursar of Kokuro Secondary and former Constituency Manager of Awendo, which occurred on Sunday 31st January, 2021 through a tragic road accident.

Loving husband to Monica Ochieng’ (Komolorume Primary). Son of the late Washington Awino Konja and late Mama Ludia Aoko Awino of Otacho Village, Migori County. Father of Loviance, Audrey, Winnie, Olivia, Alphonce Blair and Lindways Ann. Brother of the late Elsa Chaulo, Johnson Awino, Samwel Asila, Jennifer Rapemo, the late Edward Amollo, Grace Okal (USA), Dorothy Ogaga, Paul Awino and Alphayo Awino. Son-in-law of the late Peter Ongoro and Esther Ongoro of Kabuoch Karading, Homa-Bay County. Brother-in-law of the late Chaulo, Enosh Rapemo, Pastor Phares Ombwayo, John Ongoro, Mark Ongoro, Tom, Carrilus Ogaga, Peter, Caroline, Florence, Elva, Agneta, Eunice, Pamela, Esther, Janet, Beatrice, Molly, Perez, the late Rose, Rhoda Tonge, Carolyne, Lencer and others.

The cortege leaves Rosewood Mortuary, Rongo on Tuesday, 16th February, 2021. Burial and celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday 17th February, 2021, led by Ogongo SDA Church – Holo District, at his home in Otacho Village, Kanyagwala, Central Sakwa Location, LAwendo, Migori County.
