It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the resting of our patriarch James Gitu Wambugu on 29th May 2023.

Son of the late Chief Henry Wambugu and the late Virginia Wairimu. Brother to the late Mwangi Wambugu, the late Bernice Nyanjuki, Judy Muthoni, the late Harris Irungu, Caroline Wambui and Irene Muringi.

Loving husband to Monicah Wanjiru.

Son-in-love of Simon Murigu and the late Jane Warukira of Kiandu village. Brother-in-love to many.

Loving father to Jane Warukira, Rose Wamahiga, Virginia Wairimu, the late Henry Wambugg, Simon Murigu and Grace Nyanjuki.

Adoring father-in-love to the late Titus Theuri, Kennedy Muchoki, Benson Karoki and Ann Muthoni. Loving uncle, grandfather, and a great grandfather to many.

The cortege leaves Consolata Mathari Hospital funeral home Nyeri on Friday 9th June 2023 at 08:00am for a memorial and burial service at his home in Kanderendu Village, Mung’aria Sub-Location, Aguthi Location, Tetu Sub-County, Nyeri County.

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
