Son to the Late Justus Gatukumi and Edith Gathoni. Loving Husband to Beth Muthoni. Father to Edith Gathoni (Nairobi Water), Jane Mercy Njeri and Bilha Nyambura. Brother to the Late Jane Njeri, the late Kagiri, Bilha Nyambura, Alice Waitherero, the late Joyce Waruguru, the late Margaret Muthoni, John karania and Lucy Kabura.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home lyego for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Mortuary on Wednesday 8th July 2020 at 8:30 am thereafter burial will be held at his home Muranga County, Kangema Sub-County, lyego Location, Karirrau village.
