JAMES KOOME NAIRUTI

It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mr. James Koome Nairuti on 31st October 2021 after a short illness.

Son of the late Isaiah Mtirithia and Sarah Nkatha Kitirithia & Hellen Nkatha Kitirithia. Husband to Rose Koome. Father to Catherine Nkatha & Ben Mukanzi, Beatrice & Wilson Muriithi, Faith Kaigo & Kenneth Koome, Doreen Kinya & Eric Muthuuri, Faith Karwirwa & Dr. Duncan Killingo and Brian Koome.

Grandfather to Ronnie, Trevor, Samara, Mwenda, Koome, Munene, Kimathi, Sharleen, Joan & Prudence. Brother to Rose Mwari Mbiriti, Ruth Karambu, Jacob Nairuti, Lydia Ngiriki, Andrew Mwirigi, the late Naomi Makena, Simon Bundi, Stephen Muthoya, Margaret Kanana, Jane Bundi and the late Damaris Kajuju. Koome was brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting on Tuesday & Wednesday for prayers at St. Andrew from 11am – 2pm in Nairobi and at Meru Guest Villas, in Meru.

A memorial service will be held at Lavington Methodist Church on Thursday 4th November 2021 from 11.00am to 2.00pm.

The cortege shall leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday 5th November, 2021 at 5am. The burial service will be held at his home in Kithoka, Meru County the same day at 10.30am where he will be laid to rest.
