It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Retired Senior Sergeant of police James Nyakangi Nyabwari that occurred on the 11 th of January, 2025  in Nairobi.

Son of Nyabwari Botai and Teresia Basweti (all late). Husband of the late Rose Akinyi.

Father of Godfrey (BOI), Joan, the late Felix, Winnie (Nairobi County), Thomas (Kenya seed ltd), Jackline (AFA) and Mirium (Interior Designer). 

Son in-law of Mzee Lucas Okuwa and Magret Okuwa (all late) of Sigomere, Siaya County.

Nephew of the late Omwange, Merongo, Omooria, Mong’eri among others.

Brother in law of the late Tom, Sella, Maurice among others.

Father-in-law of Lydia and Tom. Grandfather of Victor, Mirium, Joseph, Tyrah, Clara Akinyi, Alynah Akinyi and Jolie Paulah. Brother of the late Obara, Joab, John Ong’esa (Ministry of Interior), Alice, Joginda, Jenipher, Cyrus, Step brother of Ayiecha, Omare, Hellen and others.

The Cortège leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nairobi on 23rd January, 2025.

Funeral service and interment will be held on Friday 24th of January 2025 at his Kenyoro home, Nyamarambe Kisii County.
