JAPHETH MADEE MURWA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Japheth Madee Murwa that occurred on 10th June, 2023.

Son to the late Murwa Kwalimwa and the late Khuluya Vujete of Shiswa sub location, Kakamega County, Naitiri Scheme, Makhanga Sub-location.

Husband to the late Rita Muyuka. Father to the late Julia Musina, Doricah Liposhe, Hadson Sajida, Margaret Mwigani, the late Henry M. Murwa (former Chair — KURA), Thomas Madee, Grace Khavayi, Beatrice Busiega,Amos Mate and Florance Insendi.

Brother to the late Khasiala, the late Mutuka, the late luseka, the late Nyenzo, the late Muchiti, Hudson Sajida and the late Okumu Jiliani.

Father-in-law to Wilson, the late Charles, the late Benson, Alfred,Tom, the late Rosemary,Alice,Violet, Ruth and Franciscah. He was a great uncle, grandfather, great grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home at Shihilila Village, Bungoma county and Kakamega Town for funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kakamega Mortuary on 22nd June, 2023 for a short stop over at NHC Estate, Amalemba estate and proceed to his home in Bungoma County.

The burial will be on 24th June, 2023 at his home, Bungoma County, Naitiri Scheme, Makhanga sub-Location, Shihilila Village.

Japheth was a father, uncle, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, friend, mentor to many. He believed in the work of hands.
