It is with humble of Gods will that we announce tile passing on of our Patriarch Japuonj Joseph Onyango Okoko of Kisumu County, Nyakach Sub-county, Onditi Sub-location, which occurred on Wednesday 20 September, 2023 at Jaramogi Ogmga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital.

Born to Shadrack Odemba and Kisso. Brother to the late Karilus Owiti and Agutu.

Husband to the laze Rosalina Okello. Father to the late Samuel Okoth, Bernadette Alwala, Mary Atieno, George Ochieng, Florence Akinyi, Silverlous Onyango and Ludfine Nyamolo, Boniface Onyango of Kigali, Clement Onyango of Nairobi and Caroline Onyango (AFC – Kisumu).

Father-in-law to Felix Alwala, Pamela Ochieng, Molly Onyango, Millicent Ooko, Susan Karambu.

Grandfather to Emily, Kennedy, Evaline, Jackline, Terry, Pope, Chris, Donald, Mercy, Maureen, Ludfine, David, Lynette, Oscar, Rosslyne, Sam, Sylvia, Harriette, Sam, Betty, Rosslyne, Wendy, Jasmine, Ben.

The cortege leaves Kisumu District Hospital Mortuary on 6th October, 2023 for a requiem mass at St Christina Kogola Catholic Church in Pap Onditi, from 2.00pm. The burial ceremony is scheduled for Saturday 7th October, 2023 from 10.00am.
