It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Ida Jedidah Wairimu Gachuhi. She hails from Muthuthi-ini Village, Gikondi Sub-Location, Mukurweini Sub-County, Nyeri County.

Daughter to the late Josphat Gichari and the late Muthoni Gichari.

Dear wife of the late Lay Leader Eliud Gachuhi. Mother to Elizabeth Wangui Mburu (Sabasaba), Joyce Waigumo Kimani (Lavington), the late Timothy Maina, Freshiah Wambura Mwangi (KBC), late Mary Muthoni, Nancy Njeri Wahome (Kenol), the late Robert Gakuya, Benjamin Kahuho (Muthuthi-ini), Gibson Mugambi (Westlands).

Sister to Octavia Kahuho, Alexander Kimathi and the late Jedidah Philip. Mother-in-law to Grace Wanjiru Maina, Hannah Wachera Kahuho and Phylis Wanjiru Mugambi, late James Mburu, Erastus Mwangi, John Kimani (US), James Wahome.

Grandmother to Rev. Dr. Eliud Gachuhi (Moh Kajiado), Jedidah Mburu, the late Ephantus, the late Arthur, Esther Wamaitha (UK), Jedidah Wairimu (UK), Dr. Alex Kimani (UK): Veronica Kimani (UK), Yvonne Kimani (UK), Eliud Maina, Jeddy Maina, Eliud Mwangi (Lavington), George Mwangi, Joy Mwangi, Jeddy Gichohi, Edwin Gichohi, Erick Gichohi and June Gichohi, Eliud Kahuho, Edith Kahuho, Caroline Kahuho, Micha Mugambi, Jedidah Mugambi, Eliud Mugambi.

Great-grandmother to Alpha, Duncan, Timothy, Jemo, George, Tamarah (UK), Eliza Kaka, Eliza Wangui, Trevor, Kayden, Jayden, Tiffany, Talia and Freya. She was an aunt and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Muthuthi-ini Village from 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves PCEATumutumu Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, 27/01/2024 at 9.00am for a funeral service at ACK Muthuthi-ini at 11.00am, thereafter burial will follow at her home – Muthuthi-ini Village, Gikondi Sub-Location, Mukurweini Sub-County, Nyeri County.
