It is with profound shock and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved mother Jemimah Moraa Nyang’wara which occurred on 9th February 2023.

Daughter to the late Nyariaro Okemwa and the late Ruth Nyariaro.

Wife to the late Isaac Nyang’wara Onyancha of Sironga village. Mother to the late Onyancha, Osero, Bonareri, Sigara, Nyasuguta, Charles, the late Kemuma, the late Mong’are, Nyaboke, Ben and George. Mother-in-law to Joyce, the late Miriam, Maurine, Ombati, Ocharo, Orenge, Josephine, Martha, Nyabuto and Teresa. Grandmother to Motanya, Nyatigo, Edna, Emily, Esther, Duncan, Samson, Asande, Moturi, Emma, Bentley among others.

Sister-in-law to Ondieki, Mweberi, the late Nyatigo, the late Motanya, the late Asande, the late Anasi, the late Sure, the late Marwanga, the late Ong’era, Bagiti, Orang’o, the late Mandere, the late Nyaboro, the late Oando, Esiteri, Nyaboke, Nyanchoka, Teresa, Sarange, Susana, Truphena, Peris, Zipporah, Agnes, Kaba, Akora, Nyamagero, Kemuma, Nyaigendi, Nyabiage among others.

Sister to the late Zephania, Sarah, the late Hellena, Chweya and the late Kemuma. Aunt to the late chief Nyatigo, Daudi, Charles, Justice Onyancha, Prof. Marwanga, Peter Asande, Kwamboka, Monicah, Livingstone Sure among others.

Korera to the late Okebiro, the late Abincha, the late Sergon, the late Masea, the late Maoga, the late Makori, Rasugu Ogamba, Makori Nyanoti, Moturi and Peris Nyakundi.

The cortege leaves Our lady of Mercy Ibara Funeral Home (Kebirigo) on Thursday, 23rd February 2023 for an overnight vigil. Burial will be held on Friday, 24th February 2023 at her home in Sironga, next to Sironga Girls High School.
