With profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss, we regret to announce the passing on of our beloved Jeremiah Onami Obwoge Ongwae.

He was son of the late Joshua Ongwae and the late Rael Nyagechanga. Husband of Mary Rabera Obwoge. Father of Esther Nyamoita, Ruth Mogotu, John Keago, Sarah Mogiti, Naom Moraa, Tabitha Nyaboke and Ann Kerubo. Brother to late James Nyangeri, Mika Mokeira, Zablon Mogambi, late Kefa Mirwoba, late Charles Morang’a, late Norah Kemunto, late Joash Siringi, David Morang’a, Bonareri, Rebecca, late Nyaboke, Nyanchama, Kemunto, Rodah, Susan, late Mirwoba, James, Daniel, late Mariam, Ebisiba and late Kennedy.

Son-in-law to late Isaac and late Abigael Nyang’wono. Brother-in-law to Jacob, Kepha, David, Laban, Hon. Alice Chae, Josephine, Kennedy, Dinah, Annah, Jessica, late Nyanchama, Irene, Amenya and others. Nephew to late Onsarigo, late Kegengo, Hon. Senator Sam Ongeri, late Kabuka, among others. Semo to Nernwel Okonu, late Simon Chae, Obed Momanyi, and Naftal Okeo. Uncle to Isabella, Joel, Calvin, Onami, Bob, among others. Korera to Keng’ara Kenani, Samwel Keya, Omari, Florence Kaluki, Rose Maranga, John Abai and Absolom Nyangoto.

Father-in-Law to Douglas Kenani, Simon Omusisi, Angela Munyiva, Kennedy Maranga, Seth Abai and Ibrahim Nyangoto. Grandfather to Sheila and Jackson Ogada, Shirleen, Shirfner, Cynthia, Rodney, Lovette, Tashley, Nivan, Jamin, Kimberly, Kyla, Keith, Aldrich and Zuri. Great grandfather to Iman and Ishan.

The cortege leaves Hema hospital mortuary on Thursday, 23rd October 2020 and burial will take place on Friday, 23rd October 2020 at his home in Gesicho village, near Masimba town, Nyankononi Sub-location, Nyamagesa location in Kisii county.
