JOEL NGAHU GACHINGIRI

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our family patriarch Mr Joel Ngahu Gachingiri at his home in Kinyona, after a long illness bravely borne.

Beloved husband to Margaret Nyambura Ngahu. Son of the late Andrew Gachingiri and Naomi Wambui. Loving father to Naomi Wambui, Beth Wangui (USA), Anne Nieri, Andrew Gachingiri, Rose Warigui, Stephen Ng’ang’a (former Director Ikumbi Tea Factory), the late Gidraf Gakoi, Wilson Mwangi (Karagacha) and Philip Chege.

Brother to the late Gidraf Gakoi, the late Hannah Njeri, the late Virginia Gathoni Thuo, the late Philip Chege, the late Prisirah Wahu and the late Nyathira. Grandfather to Margaret, Joel, Dr. Charles (USA), Alice. Naomi, Barnice, Precious, Wilfred, Mary, Andrew, Hon. Antony, Waithera, Wambui (USA), Ciru, Mutegi, Esther, Sam, Beth, Sarah, Wairimu, Njeri, Peter, among many others. Great-grandfather to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Kinyona for prayers and burial preparations.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Kabati, on 15/0212022, at 9.00am for his home in Kinyona village where he will be laid to rest.

The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
