JOHN KARINA MUCHAI (FORMER MAYOR- MURANG’A)

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of John Karina Muchai (Former Mayor – Murang’a).

Son of the late Nahashon Muchai, the late MaryWangari and the late Peris Wairimu Muchai. Husband to Lucy Wambui and the late Grace Mugure. Father of Raphael Muchai, Hon. Charles Machigo (MCA Murang’a Township Ward), Richard Muraya, Gilbert Kamau, Purity Muthoni, Maryann Karina {USA}, Peter Karina, David Muchai and the late Stephen Macharia.

Brother to Esther Wairimu {USA}, Pauline Wanyiri, Jacinta Kamau, Treza Muchai {USA}, Florence Kamau, Johnson Karina, Denis Maina, Lydia Murigi, Nduta Kaiba, Violet Muchai, Grace Macharia, Nelson Muchai, Catherine Muchai, the late Kamotho Maguru, the late Margaret Wangui and the late Peter K. Muchai.

Son-in-law to Mr. & Mrs Machigo Kigwa and Mr. & Mrs Mwangi Kagwi.

Grandfather to Karinas’, Mugures’, Wambuis’, Wanjau, Waruingi, among others. Great grandfather to Marcus, Macharia, Wanjiku, among others.

Uncle to Susan {Police Headquarters},Wangari {USA}, Muchunus’, Monica {USA}, Jane {USA}, Medi, Muchais’, Mwangis’, Mwanikis’ among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Murang’a Courtyard Hotel and his home in Sports Estate – Murang’a.

The cortege leaves Montezuma – Kabati on Saturday 12th November, 2022 at 8.00am for a burial service at ACK St. James Cathedral – Murang’a from 10:00am. He will later be laid to rest at his farm in Kandundu Village, Murang‘a.
