It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of John Kimutai Cheruiyot of Kapset Village, Kimulot Bomet County which occurred on the 20th of October 2024.

He was a former employee of Brooke Bond Kenya Ltd / Unilever Ltd, former KTDA Director of Kapset Factory and Kapset Jolly Academy Director.

Son of the late Mzee Cheruiyot Arap Chumo and the late Mama Sarah Chumo and Step-Son of Mama Raeli Chumo of Mutarakwa Village, Bomet County.

He was the Loving husband of Rachel Lily Chemutai Cheruiyot.

Father of Gilbert Mutai, Peter Mutai, Edwyne Mutai, Nelly Chelangat, Faith Chepngetich and Gloria Cherotich.

Father-in-law of Lizbeth Kithure and Janex Jepchumba. Grandfather of Alvin Rono, Tapelga Chepkemoi, Jules Kipkoech and Netala Cherop.

Brother of the late Tapsabei Chumo, Ludhia Chelule, the late Priscilla Chumo, Esther Sang, Eng. Alfred Cheruiyot, David Cheruiyot, Daniel Cheruiyot, Alice Chepkemoi, Janet Chebet, Julius Cheruiyot, Andrew Cheruiyot, Samwel Cheruiyot, Wilson Cheruiyot and Paul Cheruiyot.

Son-in-law of the Late Kipsongol Tonui, Sarah Tonui and step son-in-law of Grace of Kenegut Village.

Brother-in-law of William, Samwel, Phillip, Ruth, Esther, Betty, Nancy, Norah, the late Jackline, Jane, Joel, David, James, Sarah, Paul and Samson.

The cortege leaves Lazarus Funeral Home Kericho on Friday 1st of November 2024 at 2:00pm.

Funeral service will take place at Kimulot Secodary School grounds on 2nd of November 2024 from 10:00am and the burial at his home in Sugutek Village, Kimulot location.
