JOHN WAWERU KARIUKI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of John Waweru Kariuki.

Beloved husband to Lilian Wambui Waweru. Loving father to Beatrice Wanjiku Kahura, Daniel Kariuki Waweru, Samuel Chege Waweru and Maryanne Wanjiku Waweru.

Son of the late Daniel Kariuki Ruchuu and the late Beatrice Wanjiku Kariuki of Othaya, Nyeri. Son-in-law to the late Samuel Chege Kang’ethe and the late Tabitha Munjiru Chege of Gatundu South. Brother to Gerald Ndirangu, Jenwarious Wambugu, Godfrey Mukundi, Esther Nyokabi, Paul Ndirangu, the late James Kamundia and Julius Weru.

Father-in-law to David Kahura and Joshua Wanyama. Adorable grandfather to Natasha, Jessica and Abigael Kahura, Kitalia and Waweru Wanyama.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his house in Buruburu Phase 3, and at his rural home in Gitundu Village, Othaya, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at ACK St. Phillips Church – Jericho on Wednesday 4 October, 2023 at 3.00pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary (Thika Road), on Friday 6th October, 2023 at 8.00am, to be followed by the burial in Gitundu village, lriaini Location, Othaya, Nyeri county.

Waweru, we thank God for your life. In God’s hands you now rest, and in our hearts you live forever.
