It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs Joice Njoki Wambui Gitonga of Murang’a County on 22nd August 2020 after a short illness.

Devoted wife of Father Joachim Gitonga of Murang’a County and loving mother to Susan Waithira, Catherine & Samuel Muturi, Michael & Esther Kimani, David & Stella Kibe. Daughter of the late Jacinto Kibe & the late Pia Nungari. Daughter in law of the late Michael Kimani, the Late Catherine Wangui & the late Agnes Wanjeri. Cherished sister to Catherine & Kangethe, the late Rosemary & the late Kimani, Carmeline & the late Irungu, Cecilia, the late Engineer Kimani & Lucy, Kangethe & Kellen, Laura & the late Kamande, Waweru & Eugeniah and Jane & Mambo. Sister in Law to the late Gichure, Maria & the late Kairu, Anastasia & the late Wamaru, the late Teresia & the late Kagwi, Gichure & Berets, Lucia, Mbaru & Lydia.

Grandmother to Tatyana Wambui, Michael Warutere, Cynthia Wanjiku, Eva Wambui, Adrian Gitonga, Abigail Njoki & Adel Mukami.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home at Kabati on Friday 28th August 2020 at 8.00 am and proceeds to St Peter Clever Catholic Church in Kongu-ini for the funeral service at 10.00 am. She will thereafter be laid to rest at her home in Kongu-ini, Mukuyu, Murang’a County.
