It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mzee Jonathan Ouma Okuma, which occurred on 16th June, 2024, after bravely enduring a long illness.

Son of the late Pitalis Okuma and the late Salina Ajwang’ of Gangre Village.

Husband of Anah Ouma.

Father of Risper Ngado, Pamela Owino, Dr.Dennis Ouma, Gordon Ouma, Jael Ouma, Lilian Ouma-Kibwana, Prof. Christine Ouma, Eucabeth Ouma, and Robinson Ouma.

Father-in-law of Juliet Mwonya-Ouma, Monica Otieno, Judith Ouma, the late Elijah Magwanga, Silfanus Ngado, and Benard Kibwana.

Grandfather of Robert, Maxwell, Edward, Gorett, Mike,Welma, Amie, Emanuel, Samantha, Aiden, Stanley, Winsley, Kinsley, Vernonia, Brandon and Natalie.

Brother of the late Johnson Pete, the late Margaret Obuya, the late Edward Ong’er, Sara Amunga, Margaret Opondo, Esther Awino and Maritha Adoyo.

brother-in-law of the late Paul, Kere, ogutu and the late Onunga.

Son-in-law of the late Sila Okelo and the late Dursila Mbote of Nyakach Kadianga.

In-laws of the late Joshua Mwonya and Prof Rose Mwonya, Jacobeth Sugut, the late Stephen Kibwana and Mathlida Kibwana, the late Magwanga Owuor and the late Silibia Magwanga, and the late Caleb Keari and Josephine Keari.

The cortege leaves MED 25 International Mortuary, Mbita on Thursday, 4th July 2024 for Gangre Village, Kakelo Dudi Sub-Location.

The burial service will take place on Friday, 5th July 2024 at his home in Gangre Village
