Death and Funeral Announcement of Joseph Joel Kipkurui Sigei Kurgat

We announce the untimely demise of Joseph Joel Kipkurui Sigei Kurgat, who passed on the 11th March, 2020. He was a teacher at Milima A. Primary School, Trans Nzoia County.

The fourth born son of the late Kapsorok Arap Chumo and Mrs. Jane Chepkoske Chumo of Kipsoen Settlement Scheme Sinyerere Location, Trans Nzoia East Sub-County, Trans Nzoia County. Father of Kennedy Kipkemei, Ivy Chepchirchir Kurgat, Juvens Kibet and Leyla Cherono Kurgat. Brother of Moses Kurgat — Advocate, Senior Chief Sammy Kipkemoi Kurgat, Raychelle Marindany, Esther Chelangat Chumo Mabuka, Paul Kimeli Kurgat and Godfrey Kiplangat Kurgat and an uncle of many. Father in-law of Frank Akwabi of Mumias and brother-in-law of George Wekhui Mabuka.

The cortege left Mt. Elgon Hospital Mortuary on 20th March, 2020 for an overnight stay at our home 267 at Milima Village. The burial will be held today, 21st March, 2020 from 10.00AM.

This will be a private burial ceremony to be attended only by immediate family members in compliance with the directive by the Government of Kenya as a result of COVID -19 pandemic in which large gatherings are discouraged. To all our dear friends and relatives, vine urge for your understanding given the circumstances. We are indeed very grateful for support extended to us by all across the globe.
