JOSEPH KARANJA KIBIRI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of former Senior Assistance Chief Mr. Joseph Karanja Kibiri. He was the current Secretary Kabati Coffee Farmers Cooperative (Formerly Board Director of Murang’a Cooperative Creameries, which occurred on Friday 21st January, 2022, while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Son of Joyce Njeri and the late Daniel Wainaina Kibiri. Son-in-law of Hannah Njeri and the late Joseph Mburu. Beloved husband of late Lucy Nyathira Karanja. Doting father of Naomi Karanja (Chief Inspector of Police, OCPD’s Office – Imenti South), Pastor Daniel Karanja (Delmonte Kenya LTD and Shalom BCC – Thika), Samuel Karanja (Executive Director Radioson Consult Ltd and Diversity Group and Secretary General SORK), Caroline Karanja (NPS – Buruburu Police Station), Esther Karanja (Pride Centre Kenya Airways) and Dennis Karanja (Thika Technical Engineering Dpt.).

Father-in-law of Mary Nyokabi (Business Laurent Lenjo (Ministry of Energy) and Dennis Ndegwa (Germany). Loving grandfather of Roy Karanja, Mae Masaka, Wesley Karanja, Franklin Mungai, Lincoln Mburu, Ian Mwaura. Brother of Francis Njoroge (AVA MSA), Margaret Njoki, Charity Muthoni, Nancy Wanjiku, Mary Wambui the late Joel Mburu, Lucy Waithera and Jane Wanjuhi. Brother-in-law Mercy Wanjohi, David Nyoike, Samuel Ngugi, Florence Muthoni and the late Emma Karanja, Mary Wanjiku and Samson Njoroge. Uncle to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Kabati village, from 3.00pm to 8.00pm and prayers on 30th January, 2022.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary, at 7:00am on 2nd February, 2022, for the funeral service at ACK st John’s ukerenju Church, Kabati Murang’a County, at 10.00am and burial rites at the family home in Kabati, Kiriko village.
